Susanna Summers was born in the culturally diverse city of Montreal, Quebec. She was the youngest of 4 children born to the first generation of Ukrainian Canadians. Growing up, she would sit with her grandmother and learn the tradition of Ukrainian Easter egg designs - symbolic folk designs and traditional embroidery.

Passion for the arts took her on a career of studying music and dance. Embracing her roots and love of movement, she was given a challenge to do her art by a fellow artist and actor. Rich in texture and colour her paintings radiate warmth and life.

Previous works have been exhibited at the Arts Club Theatre Company, Fromson Art Exhibit, Raw Talent events, North  Vancouver Community Arts Council – The Anonymous Exhibition and various fundraisers for the Vancouver theatre community.
